Global library name
Allows you to specify the path name for a library you want to add to the Libraries list. To enter a library, type the path name and click the Add button, or browse to select a library.
You can use relative paths to locate the library name. The advantage of relative paths is that, if you have an identical directory structure on different platforms, you can migrate your design to a different platform, and still compile and view results successfully. Also, if you type a relative path or just a file name for the user library, the Quartus® Prime software searches for the files in this order:
- <project name> directory
- <project name>/db directory
- Project libraries listed in the project's Quartus Prime Settings File (.qsf) Definition
- User libraries that you specify in the Libraries (Current Project) page
- Directories under quartus/libraries
