A file containing rules for suppressing messages in a project. You can create suppression rules in the Messages window to suppress messages from a specific hierarchy, allowing you to more easily debug one portion of your design at a time. You can import a Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Message Suppression Rule File (.srf) by clicking Import, or export the file by clicking Export in the Message Suppression Manager dialog box. If you import an .srf that was created with the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition software version 12.0 or earlier, the file will be converted to the new format.
