parameterized function Definition

A logic function that uses parameters to achieve scalability, adaptability, and efficient silicon implementation. Quartus® Prime Standard Edition supports a variety of parameterized functions (also called "parameterized modules"), including functions belonging to the Library of Parameterized Modules (LPM).

LPM functions provide architecture-independent design entry for all Quartus® Prime Standard Edition-supported devices. The Quartus® Prime Standard Edition Compiler includes built-in compilation support for LPM functions used in schematic, AHDL Include Files (.inc ),VHDL Output File (.vho),Verilog Output File (.vo), and EDIF Input File (.edf).
