configuration device Definition

The Altera family of configuration devices, including the EPC1, EPC2, EPC4, EPC8, EPC16, EPC1441, EPCS1, EPCS4, EPCS16 and EPCS64 devices, which configure all SRAM-based Altera devices supported by the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition software.

Enhanced configuration devices include EPC4, EPC4QC100, EPC8, EPC8QC100, EPC16, EPC16QC100, EPC16UC88, and EPCQ256, which support features such as external clocks, data compression, and multiple pages and configuration bitstreams.

Serial configuration devices include EPCS1, EPCS4, EPCS16 and EPCS64.
