Allows you to specify the types of assignments to import. The
following are the assignment types that you can import:
- Global
Assignments— Specifies that global
assignments are imported.
- Instance
Assignments— Allows you to specify the type
of instance assignments that are imported.
- Back-annotated
routing— Specifies that back-annotated
routing assignments are imported.
- All assignments to
pins— Specifies that assignments made to
pins, including location and I/O standard assignments, are
imported.
- Promote assignments to all
instances of the entity— Specifies
promotion of instance assignments to all instances of the entity,
or only instances with names that match a pattern specified in the
Instance wildcard box.
Note:
Certain global assignments— such as those
specified in the Compilation
Process Settings dialog box— are not
affected by the Import
Assignments command, and will retain their current values.
For example, the Use Smart
compilation and Run
Assembler during compilation settings are not affected.
