DirectX 12 Ultimate on Intel® Arc™ Graphics
Things are about to get real. Microsoft’s industry standard API takes games to a new level of realism with the latest graphics technologies including DirectX* Raytracing, variable rate shading, mesh shading, and sampler feedback. With full support for DirectX* 12 Ultimate on all Intel® Arc™ graphics, get equipped to power the future of next-gen gaming.
Ray Tracing
Ray tracing enables exceptional realism across a wide range of game visuals. Using true-to-life real-time calculations, ray tracing is the most physically accurate simulation of light available today. With hardware accelerated ray tracing capabilities built into every Xe HPG-based GPU, you’ll get the best in lighting, shadows, and reflections, for ultra-realistic gaming.

Variable Rate Shading (VRS)
Game smarter with optimized performance and visuals. VRS allows different parts of an image to be shaded with different amounts of processing power, using full processing power for more complex parts of an image and less power for simpler parts of the image.
This means your GPU resources can be allocated toward rendering the areas that matter the most, enabling extra performance while maintaining visual quality.
Mesh Shaders
Greatly improve performance and image quality when rendering a scene with a substantial number of very complex objects. Mesh shading enables a streamlined geometry-rendering pipeline, allowing developers to bring more detailed and dynamic worlds to life.
Sampler Feedback
Explore complex 3D worlds uninterrupted with efficient loading of high-resolution textures. This texture streaming optimization enables efficient handling of textures by intelligently predicting when they will be needed in-game, reducing the load on the GPU.
