Silicom P425G2SNx IAONIC is a smart NIC that perfectly combines two of the industry’s most sought after features. It provides a hardware standard NIC (over PCIe v4) interface with 2 ports of 25G or 1 port of 100G, it can offload complete infrastructure workload off the main host, while still working in line rate. Silicom P425G2SNx IAONIC is based on Intel® P5700 processor containing 8/16 X86 cores, integrated packet processor with 25G/100G interfaces as well as Ethernet MAC using Intel® E810.Depending on the SKU, Silicom P425G2SNx card employs 8 to 16 x86 CPU cores, the benefit of which is twofold. First, an immediate assets reuse is enabled. It means that any x86 based software which his usually running on the main host can now be ported with virtually zero efforts down to the card. Second, having set of CPU core that are physically separated from the main host brings the advantage of infrastructure isolation from the main workload. These long lists of workloads and benefits is available almost instantly by drop-in replacing any standard NIC with P425G2SNx smart NIC.
