As they look ahead in 2023 – a pivotal year for delivering 5G – communication service providers (CoSPs) are investing in cloud-native digitization and IT modernization as the inevitable next step in their network transformation journey. Completing the transition to cloud-native is not without its challenges, and many of these CoSPs have a long road to get there.
Intel and IDC surveyed more than 300 CoSPs about the challenges they are seeing on the cloud-native journey, the important impact it will make for delivering innovative new services with speed and flexibility, and what they need most to help them get there. Read more on the survey results at “Mastering Cloud-Native Architectures to Bring Agility to Telecom Networks.”
The results also show how Intel is innovating alongside its CoSP customers, and how with its broader partner ecosystem, the company is removing barriers to success. It’s all done to help CoSPs achieve performance and agility, while lowering costs, reducing complexity and saving energy.
Alex Quach, vice president and general manager of Intel's Wireline and Core Network Division, offers his perspective on the results: "Unmatched Capabilities for a Cloud-Native 5G Core & RAN."
