Today, Google announced new solutions for helping organizations move toward more cloud-based technologies with Chrome OS, including Parallels Desktop for Chromebook Enterprise. This all-new functionality provides quick access to full-featured Windows applications like Microsoft Office, locally on Chrome OS — no internet connectivity required. Parallels Desktop for Chromebook Enterprise is available only on Intel® Core™ processor-powered Chromebooks, including the HP Pro c640 Chromebook Enterprise, the HP Elite c1030 Chromebook Enterprise and the upcoming HP Chromebox Enterprise G3, all powered by Intel Core i5 and i7 processors.

Now more than ever, companies are embracing cloud-first IT strategies to support distributed workforces with employees at home, in the office or in the field. In a recent global survey, HP discovered that 75% of companies are exploring the expansion of their Chrome Enterprise footprint over the next two years, not surprising since 73% of IT decision makers agree that Chromebooks appeal to end users.1

Employees get the right tools and IT gets the right control, selecting which users have access from the Google Admin console and deploying applications directly with the Parallels Desktop infrastructure. The employee experience is productive and seamless. When you leave a session, Parallels Desktop pauses in the background, ensuring you can pick up where you left off when it’s reopened.
