Server Information Retrieval Utility (SysInfo) for Intel® Server Boards and Intel® Server Systems

1. Introduction

The Intel® Server Information Retrieval Utility is used for collecting the system information.

For filenames and paths, the abbreviation "sysinfo" is used.

This utility dumps the following information to log files:

   1. Platform Firmware Inventory

   2. Sensor Information

   3. Sensor Data Records (SDR)

   4. BMC SEL (in human-readable form)

   5. BMC SEL (in hexadecimal form)

   6. Server Board FRU

   7. System BMC Boot Order

   8. BMC User Settings

   9. BMC LAN Channel Settings

   10. BMC SOL Channel Settings

   11. BMC Power Restore Policy Settings

   12. BMC Channel Settings

   13. SMBIOS Type 1, Type 2, Type 3

   14. Processor information

   15. Memory information

   16. Operating System Information

   17. IDE/SCSI information

   18. Storage Drive information

   19. Device Manager Information (also known as drivers)

   20. List of Installed Software

   21. BIOS Settings (per BIOS setup utility, F2 screen).

   22. RAID Settings and RAID Log (not available on Windows* and Linux*)

   23. Operating System Event Log

   24. SATA information

   25. PCI Bus Device Information

   26. Power Telemetry (if available)

Note: BMC SEL (in human-readable form) and BMC SEL (in hexadecimal form) are not valid for the Intel® Server Board M70KLP and the Intel® Server Board M20NTP2SB.

Note : Users who want to use Utilities on Older versions of OS will have to use the previous versions of the Utility which has the appropriate OS Support.
