Detailed Description

Change Notice, September 29, 2020:

NVM Update Package 2.12 has been removed and replaced by 2.15. The following is included this package.

  • The QSFP-based images were updated to 2.14(B0)/2.15(C0) to fix a module temperature reporting issue.
  • The 25G Backplane image for the E810-XXVAM2 was updated to fix image installation issue. Version remains 2.10.
  • All SFP and images remain unchanged and the version is 2.12(B0)/2.10(C0).
  • All E810-CAM2 Backplane images remain unchanged and the version is  2.12(B0)/2.10(C0).

Therefore, if you currently have the 2.12 NVM Update Package please use the new 2.15 NVM update package instead. For any QSFP device or a 25G Backplane using the E810-XXVAM2 re-run this update package as a result of this Change Notice.

What was updated

All QSFP-based images were updated with 2.14(B0)/2.15(C0) to fix the module temperature sensor reporting. For more details please see E810 Specification Update.

The 25G Backplane image for the E810-XXVAM2 was updated to fix image installation issue. Version remains 2.10. .

SFP-based and E810-CAM2 backplane images were not updated and remain unchanged.

The following product is affected, when loaded with the 25G Backplane image:

Intel® Ethernet Controller E810-XXVAM2, MM# 999WJ9, Tray

Intel® Ethernet Controller E810-XXVAM2, MM# 999WK9, Tape and Reel

 

The NVM image with the fix for module temperature sensor reporting was corrected for the following Intel® Ethernet Network Adapters:

Intel® Ethernet Network Adapter E810-CQDA2, Product Code E810CQDA2G1P5, Part Number K85585-00x where x is the fab revision

Intel® Ethernet Network Adapter E810-CQDA2, Product Code (E810CQDA2G2P5, E810CQDA2, or E810CQDA2BLK), Part Number K91258-00x where x is the fab revision

Intel® Ethernet Network Adapter E810-CQDA1 for OCP, Product Code E810CQDA1OCPT2G, Part Number K87316-00x where x is the fab revision

Intel® Ethernet Network Adapter E810-CQDA2 for OCP 3.0, Product Code (E810CQDA2OCPV3G, E810CQDA2OCPV3L, or E810CQDA2OCPV3), Part Number M12947-00x or K98464-00x where x is the fab revision

Other information:

If you use the affected products listed above, it is recommended that you update to the new NVM package file. There is no need to replace the package if you are only using SFP or E810-CAM2 backplane images. All other files remain as is; there is no impact to other products. Contact Intel customer support with questions.
