Detailed Description
The Intel® Memory and Storage Tool (Intel® MAS) is a drive management tool for Intel® Optane™ SSDs and Intel® Optane™ Memory devices, supported on Windows*, Linux*, and ESXi*.
Notes:
- Firmware updates and extended features supported on Intel® Optane™ technology based SSD's and Intel® Optane™ Memory products.
- ESXi-signed files may be added for download at a later date.
- The Windows download includes the GUI and CLI version of the tool.

Getting started
- The Windows version contains a combined installer with the GUI version. Refer to the User Guide for how to use the CLI.
- For the latest firmware available for Intel SSDs see the Release Notes or check here: Firmware Versions for Intel® Solid State Drives and Intel® Optane™ Memory.
- If you purchased your Intel® SSD from an OEM, your firmware version may have a different naming. Contact your local OEM representative for latest firmware revisions.
- If you need any assistance with the firmware update or experience issues, contact Intel Customer Support.
Additional Notes:
- The in-box NVMe driver included with Windows Server 2008* and Windows Server 2012* doesn't allow administrative commands to be passed to NVMe drives. Therefore, the Intel® Memory and Storage Tool requires the Intel® SSD NVMe driver in order to function properly.
- For corporate customers who want to use the Intel® Memory and Storage Tool for their internal corporate use, refer to the SoftwareLicenseAgreement_CommercialUse.pdf in the zip package.
- Some Intel® Optane™ products have reached End of Life (EOL), End of Service Update (ESU), and/or End of Interactive Support (EOIS). Products where an ESU has been issued are not supported with any additional functional, security, or other updates. All versions are provided as is. Check the latest status of the Intel® Optane™ products in Customer Support Options for Discontinued Intel® Optane™ Solid-State Drives and Modules.
- The Intel® Optane™ Memory H10 and H20 with Solid State Storage are not supported with any additional functional, security, or other updates. The Intel® Optane™ Memory H20 with Solid State Storage has known security issues. All versions are provided as is. End of Service Update (ESU) has been issued.
