Intel® Ethernet Connections Boot Utility, Preboot Images, and EFI Drivers

This package contains software and drivers for preboot environments, including UEFI drivers, Intel® Boot Agent, and Intel® Ethernet iSCSI Remote Boot images.

Description

The Intel® Ethernet Flash Firmware Utility (BootUtil) is a utility that you can use to program the PCI option ROM on the flash memory of supported PCI and PCIe*-based Intel® Network Adapters and to update configurations.

BootUtil replaces older utilities and provides the functionality of the older Intel Boot Agent, IBAUTIL; iSCSI Remote Boot, ISCSIUTL; LANUTIL; and FLAUTIL utilities that were found in the PROBOOT, ISBoot, and, PROEFI web packs.

BootUtil supports all the adapters supported by the previous utilities.

Refer to bootUtil.txt and the user guide (index.htm) for information about using this utility.

The image file BootIMG.FLB is extracted to the chosen path under \APPS\BootUtil.

You can find image version information in .\APPS\BootUtil\iv.txt.

This software download replaces the utilities and documentation found in PROBOOT.exe, ISBoot.exe, and PROEFI.exe.

PREBOOT.EXE is a self extracting archive and contains documentation, utilities, and boot images for Windows, Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI), and DOS.

To extract the files:

1. After you download the file, double-click to execute this file in Windows.
2. Accept the license agreement.
3. Choose the path where you want to extract the files.
4. After the files finish extraction, the User Guide will launch.

Extract the contents of this archive by issuing the command 'unzip PREBOOT.EXE'
