2.2.2. Retrieving the Error Message Queue Contents Through Mailbox Command

To retrieve the SEU error message, use the Configuration Debugger tool to send mailbox command through the JTAG interface.
  1. From the Quartus® Prime menu, select Tools > Configuration Debugger.
    The Configuration Debugger window appears.
  2. Click Hardware Setup to setup your hardware.
  3. Under Device Chain in the Configuration Debugger window, click Load Device to select your device.
  4. Ensure that the SDM Tools and Session Log windows are visible:
    1. From the Configuration Debugger menu, select View > SDM Tool.
    2. From the Configuration Debugger menu, select View > Session Log.
  5. In the Mailbox Client section under the SDM Tool window, specify the Command Code and Parameter List boxes.
  6. Click Send.
  7. Read the response in the Session Log window.
