- Added support for additional Agilex™ 5 E-Series devices. For details, refer to Changes in Device Support.
- Added support for additional Agilex™ 7 F-Series, I-Series, and M-Series devices. For details, refer to Changes in Device Support.
New Quartus® Prime Installation and Licensing Features and Enhancements
- For some IPs, the Quartus® Prime software can obtain the license for you automatically when you compile a design.
New Quartus® Prime GUI Features and Enhancements
- Enhanced Node Finder search filters to include various interface types for more effective search queries.
New Interface Planner Features and Enhancements
- Enhanced the NoC View in Interface Planner to show the architecture more accurately.
- Improved analysis provided in the Interface Planner NoC Performance Report
- Enhanced the visualization of links, switches, and congestion.
New Compilation Features and Enhancements
- Reduce compilation time by using precompiled simulation libraries. Precompiled simulation libraries allow you to compile the device library once, and reuse the precompiled library across multiple projects with the same target device family.
- Platform Designer now supports ACE5-Lite as a supported interface type.
- Added support for sclr and aclr RAM inference.
New IBIS Model Features and Enhancements
- For Agilex™ FPGA portfolio devices, added support to generate custom pre-synthesis IBIS models through the Quartus® Prime Compilation Dashboard.
New Network-on-Chip (NoC) Support Features and Enhancements
- Enhanced NoC support features in Interface Planner. For details, refer to New Interface Planner Features and Enhancements.
Stand-Alone Programmer and Tools Features and Enhancements
The Stand-Alone Programmer now includes the following tools to facilitate device programming/debug:
- Logic Analyzer Interface Editor (quartus_lai.exe)—allows you to multiplex a large number of nodes to an external logic analyzer via a limited number of pins.
- In-System Sources and Probes Editor (quartus_issp.exe)—allows you to read data from and write data to the design.
- In-system Memory Content Editor (quartus_ismce.exe)—allows you to read data from and write data to in-system memory in devices during runtime and independently of system clocks.
New Advanced Link Analyzer Features and Enhancements
- Enhanced device support:
- Updated F-Tile FHT and FGT transceiver support
- Enhanced Platform/Simulation Engine:
-
Updated Intel oneAPI Math Kernel Library version to 2024.1.0
-
Added S-parameter handling routines optimizations
-
Added Simulation configuration parser optimizations
-
Improved IBIS-AMI simulation engine compatibility
-
New Nios® V Processor Features and Enhancements
- Added no-cost licensing for Nios® V/c, Nios® V/g, and Nios® V/m processors. The Quartus® Prime software can obtain the license for you automatically when you compile a design that contains Nios® V IP.
- Enhanced Nios® V/g as follows:
- Added branch prediction support
- Added lockstep support
- Add ECC Full support
- Improved performance number of Dhrystone and CoreMark* benchmarks
- Reduced resource utilization of Nios® V/m and Nios® V/c cores.
