Overview
The demand for photorealistic visualization spans a multitude of applications—AI, data science, industrial science, animation, product design, and more.
This session introduces Intel® Embree, a collection of high-performance ray tracing kernels optimized for photorealistic rendering such as path tracing, global illumination, reflection and refraction, mirrors, materials, lights, and shadows.
Learn how to:
- Set up the Cornell Box scene geometry test for Intel Embree.
- Set up different materials, lights, mirrors, reflections, and refractions.
- Use Intel® oneAPI Threading Building Blocks (oneTBB) to parallelize your Intel Embree code.
- Use global illumination to reduce noise.
The session includes a demonstration.
Skill level: Intermediate to advanced familiarity with rendering coding
Get the Software
- Get Intel Embree as part of the Intel® Rendering Toolkit.
- Download a stand-alone version of oneTBB or as part of the Intel® oneAPI Base Toolkit.
