Why AI for Citizens?
As governments create national AI strategies to develop a sustainable, inclusive, positive impact on their citizens, improving public awareness and understanding of AI is critical. A recent Pew Research Center survey shows that 52% of Americans are more concerned than excited about AI in daily life, 10% more excited than concerned, and 36% have a mixed feeling of excitement and concern.

Bridging the Gap: How a villager transformed the community through AI
In a small village in the Northern state of India, Mr. Dharam Prakash Shukla joined Intel’s AI for Citizens program during an AI awareness drive. He recognized the potential of AI in revolutionizing the way his fellow farmers can sell their products and encouraged them to attend the program. By embracing AI, farmers now have the means to sell their products directly, bypassing middlemen and reaping greater profits.
Empowering Malaysia's digital transformation with AI untuk Rakyat
The Government of Malaysia launched ‘AI untuk Rakyat’, a national initiative aligned with government’s vision to transform Malaysia into a technology driven, high income country by 2028. Based on Intel® AI for Citizens program, this initiative is promoting AI awareness among general public to make Malaysia an AI ready nation. More than 1 million Malaysians completed digital badges within first five month of the launch of initiative in 2024.
Singapore Students Champion Mental Well-Being with AI Chatbot Powered by Intel® Technologies
Institute of Technical Education (ITE) launched the AI for Citizens training to foster public awareness and appreciation of AI. A group of students have created a mental health chatbot that can detect user emotions through facial recognition.
